Fixing Home Drainage Issues in Memphis

Client & Job Details: Job performed for Willie F of Memphis, Tennessee in July 2025.

Project Manager: Chris Slayton

The Problem

This customer called and explained that every time it rains, water seeps into the add-on addition of his home where the wall meets the floor. Rain water was not draining properly and was slowly causing damage on the inside of the home addition.

The Solution

Our team installed an open-face 4” french drain laid on #57 crushed limestone. Then, we installed a 2” effluent pipe for the sump pump system that was buried 8” underground and covered. A grate was installed at the end of the drain to exit water to the street, as well as to prevent pests and debris from building nests and clogging the drainage system.

Rain Water Damage Remediation

Rainwater can enter a home due to a variety of drainage issues, including improper grading, clogged gutters, and/or inadequate downspout extensions. These problems can lead to water pooling around the foundation, seeping into the home or crawl space and can cause damage to the foundation and structure of your home.
